Anyone interested in the upcoming LibreOffice version can now download LibreOffice 7.4 Beta to check out numerous changes and improvements. For example, Calc now supports and uses 16384 columns.
In the release notes you can also read about the improved text layout performance. According to the company, this applies to cases such as PDF export, loading documents, and more. There is also support for the WebP format.

If you are interested in the current beta version of LibreOffice 7.4, you can download it from the download area of the project page. At the very bottom under Pre-releases you can click on the version number and the website will then redirect you accordingly.
The beta version supports the usual operating systems. You’ll find packages for Linux (.deb and .rpm), Windows, and Apple versions. Apple’s new hardware (Aarch64) is also supported.
A release candidate for LibreOffice 7.4 is planned for July 2022 and is scheduled to be released in mid-August.
